AS REAL AS IT GETS
Synopsis
Clashing egos lead to a backstage brawl between wrestling veteran, Logan Daniels and young prodigy Wade Avery, before a match. The rivalry leads to harder hits and more dangerous moves, which end up causing a devastating injury for Logan in the middle of the match. Now, they must run the tightrope of continuing the match without worsening the injury, and proving to each other who the true champion is.

Director's Statement
The goal of the film is to highlight a subculture typically ridiculed or passed over and show the seriousness of wrestling as a sport and a passion. We wanted to show the ranges of what wrestling is both inside and outside the ring and tell a very emotional, human story.
The sport of professional wrestling is a demanding one. Bodies are put on the line and dreams can be made or crushed in instants. It demands all of you and more; for as long as you’re willing to give, but sometimes one can give too much, either out of love or selfish pride. How much is one person willing to sacrifice to prove they still belong to others and themselves? This dramatic look into the world of pro wrestling shows the dangers of ego and the consequences of fighting with the passage of time.
